Electricity is generated by damming a river and using the force of the water fall to turn the turbines. eg. Bhakra Nangal Dam.
Atomic This energy is derived from nuclear fuel. Radioactive elements are mined from the earth and electricity is generated through a process of nuclear reaction in atomic power stations. Oil Refineries – Crude oil is refined here to petrol, diesel, kerosene and other petroleum by-products. The Mathura Refinery, which is the nearest to Delhi is an example.
